(Mac) It is with great sadness that the family of James (Mac) Powell, age 63 years, announce his passing Sunday, August 24, 2008. Predeceased by his daughter Mary Jacqueline, parents Annie Elizabeth and Arthur James Powell, brother-in-law Raymond Broderick. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his son Trevor of Gander, NL; two brothers: Clarence (Dinah) Powell, Chesley Powell of Fort McMurray, Alberta; four sisters: Elizabeth (Terry) Hoskin of Oshawa, Ontario, Beulah Broderick of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Marie (Walter) Joyce of Wintersville, Ohio, Jean (Charlie) of Catalina, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. from Good Shepherd United Church, Happy Adventure.
