(1962 - 2010) - Pointe-Sapin - With deep regret, we announce the death of Jean 'Johnny' Martin, at the Moncton Hospital, on October 10th, 2010, at the age of 48. Born in Baie St-Anne, he was the son on the late Isidore Martin and the late Germaine Martin. He is survived by his spouse, Lorraine Richard Coulombe; his step children: Caroline Coulombe Rouse (Charles Rouse) from Moncton and Eric Coulombe (Mary-Elen Kelly Coulombe) from Neguac; two step grandchildren: Celina Rouse and Natalie Coulombe; three brothers: Raymond (Anne-Marie Meuse) from Baie Ste-Anne, Kenneth (Sheila Stuart) from St-Louis, Isidore Jr (Darlene Mazerolle) from Richibouctou; three sisters: June (Lucien Martin) and Barbara (Normand Daigle), both from Baie Ste-Anne, and Laurie-Anne (Urbain Martin) from Edmundston, as well as many members of both families. Johnny was a fisherman in both the Baie Ste-Anne and Pointe-Sapin area. His generosity and his desire to help others was shown in the 20 years he did volunteer work in the Pointe-Sapin community. He was now living in Moncton, since 2008.
Mr Martin's ashes will not be exposed. The family will receive visitors at the Saint-Joseph RC Church in Pointe-Sapin on Thursday, October 14th starting at 10:30am, from where the funeral service will be held at 11:00am.
