Schofield, Ervin Owen, 72, of Falmouth passed away peacefully on October 5, 2010 at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor Forks on September 21, 1938 he was a son of the late Aubrey and Evelyn (Tracey) Schofield. Ervin worked many years for various construction sites in the Halifax/Dartmouth area, later starting his own construction company with his brother. Following this, he became a janitor for the school board. He enjoyed going to yard sales and frequently set up his own yard sale. Ervin was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors, also spending many hours working in his gardens. He is survived by his loving wife Connie (Hunt), daughters, Janet (Hugh) Keddy, Marlene (Jeff) Chandler, sons, Ken (Bernie), Pete, grandchildren, Jeff and Chelsea Schofield, Lacey and Jason Chandler, Jake, Christine and Megan Schofield, sisters, Madeline Fisher, Helen Schofield, Vivian (David) Shaw, brothers, Carl (Joan), Burt, Milton (Betty); as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter Marilyn Rose, sister Myrna, brothers Harley, Douglas, Earl. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service was held at the Windsor Forks Cemetery with Pastor Wensell MacLeod officiating.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the IWK Children's Hospital or the Windsor Church of the Nazarene - Children's Ministry.
