The death occurred at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 of Olive "Joyce" Rogerson (nee MacDonald) of Summerside and formerly of Elmsdale, P.E.I., aged 83 years. Joyce was born on Feb. 13, 1927 in Elmsdale to her late parents Albert and Hazel (nee MacPherson) MacDonald. Wife of the late Richard Rogerson and loving mother of Sheila (Ken) Kenny and Cindy Martin all of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Shane, David, Christine and Regan and seven great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her first husband Harold Martin. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, Oct. 18, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours for family and friends only, on Sunday evening 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations in Joyce's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
