June 29, 1925 - October 17, 2010. It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loving mother, Elizabeth Ursella Meade. Though she fought her long term illness bravely for 2 years, she succumbed peacefully and gracefully in the presence of her loving family. Predeceased by her husband, Stephen in 2004 and her son John in 2009. her parents, Mary Jane Newman and Vincent Newman, brothers Joseph, Michael, John and Vincent and sisters, Angela, Pauline and Marion. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children, Edward (Bridget), Theresa (Charles), Helen (Kevin), Magdalen (Ray), Mary (Paul), Albert (Marion), Madonna (Edward), Andrew (Imelda), John-predeceased (Doris), Gerard (Marie), Anthony (Debbie), Veronica (Greg), Pauline (Bill), Daniel (Geraldine), Lucy (Linbergh), Stephanie (Randy) a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren whom she adored, her sisters, Margaret, Veronica, Imelda and Mary and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia from noon to 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18 and Tuesday, Oct. 19. A mass of celebration for her life will be held at St. Theresa's Church, Ship Harbour on Wednesday, Oct 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ship Harbour. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation to the Children's Wish Foundation may be made in her memory.
