Cook, Keith Lennox - 85 of Annapolis Royal formerly of First South, Lunenburg Co. passed away Saturday, October 09, 2010 in the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Indian Path, Lunenburg County, he was the only child of the late Lennie and Mabel (Smith) Cook. He is survived by his wife, Marion Hazel Cook. Keith settled and built his own home in First South,, where he began a long career working as a marine mechanic at the Lunenburg Foundry. The three loves of his life included his wife Marion; his love of boats and the ocean, and his love of music. One of the highlights of Keith's life was being a crewmember on the vessel, "The Bounty" and spending a year sailing to Tahiti while the movie, "Mutiny on the Bounty" was being filmed. Keith was an accomplished, self-taught accordion player and was often invited to come and play a tune at local gatherings. He often spoke of the time he played with Harry Hibbs from Newfoundland and had him over to the house. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook. At the request of the family there was no visitation. A grave side service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12 in First South Cemetery, Lunenburg County. No flowers by request.
