It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Caroline passed peacefully on October 21, 2010 at 8:22 p.m. in her 89th year, which is also her first granddaughter's birthday.

She was predeceased by her parents: Santa (Sirianni) and Donato Cashato, her husband, of 63 years, Geoffrey as well as nine (9) siblings.

Left to mourn is her Daughter Judy (Ken) Zutz; Grandaughter Carolynn (Jim) Boomer; Great Grandchildren Blaine and Colton. Grandson Bill (Maureen) Zutz, Great Grandchildren Danielle and Janna. Also in Ottawa, Daughter Sandra (Jim) Blais, Grandchildren Mary Carol (Dan), Tom (Amanda) Blais.
She was a kind mother and will be missed by all survivors and friends.

Caroline was born and raised in Revelstoke, and at age 18 she moved to Vancouver where she was employed at the Hotel Vancouver. Soon after she met Geoffrey and they were married February 15, 1941.

After retirement they enjoyed 16 years of wintering in Arizona. They resided in Hope, Chilliwack, and Parkside Estates in Chase. After Geoffrey's passing, she moved to the Renaissance in Kamloops and was very happy with the care at both Independent and Assisted Living Facilities.

She will be remembered for her sharp mind, her enjoyment of music, computer games, e-mailing, bingo and dominos.

The family would like to thank Doctors: Fike, Mahmood, Prasad, also nurses Gabriel and Tessa. Special mention to the very caring staff at the Renaissance. A meaningful thank you to Father Derrick Cameron for administering the Last Rites.
