Allan Selmer Nesvold of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on October 21st, 2010 at the Grasslands Nursing home in Rockglen, SK. Allan was born in Verwood, SK on March 7th, 1934. He grew up on the family farm near Crane Valley where he and his wife Kathleen raised their three children, and continued farming until retiring in Moose Jaw, SK in 1996. He is predeceased by the love of his life Kathleen in 2009; his parents Mabel and Sven, brothers, Melvin and Sidney; sisters, Bernice and Belvera. Allan is survived by his children, Elaine (Ron), Terry (Rose), Gwen (Lenny), nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren (soon to be thirteen); one sister Ella, and many more loving family members and great friends. Allan was known for his thoughtful and generous gifts that he insisted on bringing home for everyone, socializing at auction or garage sales, baking his homemade fudge, and his unique appetite for wagon wheels, cookies and wieners mixed together. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 27th, 2010 W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel at 1:30 pm, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw with Todd Moroz of Wood Mountain officiating. Burial will take place at Weanus Cemetery, near Ormiston, SK. Donations can be made to the Diabetes Association, 917 Albert St., Regina, SK, S4R 2P or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St., Moose Jaw, Sk, S6H 2M2.
