
Michael McDonald
1928 - 2010 - Michael McDonald, 81 of Bouctouche, husband of the late Alice (Cormier) McDonald (2007) passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Monday October 25th, 2010. Born in Saint-Maurice de Kent on November 2nd, 1928 he was the son of the late Dan and the late Azélie (LeBlanc) McDonald. Michael was a welder by trade and worked with his sons for several years in the Drywall trade. Michael was also an avid card player. He will be sadly missed by his eleven children, Gisèle Savoie (Bernard), Rose-Marie Allain (Conrad), Doreen Despres (André), Aurella Maillet (Luc) all of Bouctouche, Murielle McDonald of Charlottetown, Claudette LeBlanc (Roger) of Moncton, Pauline Cormier (Pierre) of Fredericton, Raymond (Marie-Louise), André (Della) both of Bouctouche, Guy of Montreal, and Paul of Edmonton, his eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn three sisters, Hélène Collette, Jeannita Cormier (Laurie) both of Bouctouche, Aline Melanson of Riverview, two brothers, Ronald (Jeannita) of Bouctouche, Danny (Jean) of Cocagne, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Bessie, and Edna and four brothers, Camille, Johnny, Emery, and Roger.
Visitation will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Wednesday from 7 to 9, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from 1 to 2:45pm. Funeral Mass will be at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Friday October 29th, 2010 at 3:00 pm, with interment in the parish cemetery. In Michael's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L. Dumont Foundation or to the Alzheimer Association.
