The passing of Frederick "Fred" John Arnold of Fredericton, NB, husband of Carol (Harvey) Arnold occurred on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at home. Born on January 13, 1950 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late John H. and Constance "Connie" (Hamilton) Arnold. Fred was the Captain of the Fredericton Fire Department. He was a member to the Marysville Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15. Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially the outdoors. In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by his son, Billy Arnold; daughter, Stacy Moorcroft (Gary) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Tianna May Arnold and Kody Moorcroft; brothers, Richard "Dick" Arnold (Cheryl) and Glen Arnold (Pat) all of Fredericton, NB and Doug Arnold (Diane) of Waterloo, ON; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his one infant sister, Shirley and sister, Linda Beaty.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11 am with Rev. Franklin Curtis officiating. Interment will take place at Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery.
