Audrey Ilda Frances (Belfield) Martin-Davies - 83, of Wolfville, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at home. Born in Starr’s Point, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Jean (Haverstock) Belfield. She graduated from the Grace Maternity and Halifax Infirmary Schools of Nursing and was employed at the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital for 37 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Andrew’s United Church, Wolfville and sang in the church choir as well as other valley choirs and musicals. She is survived by two daughters, Beryl Wan (Michael), Burlington, Ontario and Jeannie White (Kevin), New Glasgow; four granddaughters, Naomi White, Amy Wan, Michelle Wan and Natasha White. She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Long and Bernice Patchell; three brothers, Murray, Robert and Blake. Visitation was held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 in St. Andrew’s United Church, Wolfville, Reverend Robyn Brown-Hewitt officiating. Burial took place in the Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. Following the burial, a reception was held in the church hall. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to St. Andrew’s United Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
