SURETTE, Marie Anna – Nakile Home for Special Care, Argyle, and formerly of Eel Brook, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Nakile Home. Born November 8, 1918 in Sluice Point to Antoine and Mary Rose (Muise) Bourque. Anna is survived by her son, Guy Surette, Edmonton, Alberta, and her daughter, Annette (Clermont) Perron, St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Qué., along with 2 grandsons, Eric (Pamela) and Rémi, and a great granddaughter, Willow. Also surviving is a sister, Rosalind Surette, and Anna’s caregivers, Claude and Deanna Bourque. She was predeceased by her husband, Laurent, and her daughter-in-law, Rita, as well as by brothers, Antoine, Anselm, Raymond, and a sister, Caroline Surette. Visitation took place at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, with prayers at 3 o’clock. The funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 1 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated, assisted by Father Maurice LeBlanc, c.j.m. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only.
