It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brian Walter Hamlyn announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, November 8th, 2010 at the age of 47 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend Trinda (Batstone), his three sons, who were his life and pride; Jordan (Holly) of Sooke, BC, Nathan & Christian of Corner Brook, his parents Margaret & Walter Hamlyn, mother & father-in-law; Lorena & Ralph Batstone, brother-in-law Robert (Sandra) Batstone, sister-in-law; Loretta (John) Bugden, Jennifer (Rick) Burton as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his brother Danny (1982), grandparents; Fred & Laura Locke and Cyrus Hamlyn & Emily Hamlyn Rumbolt. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday, November 9th, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 10th, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at First United Church, Park Street, Corner Brook on Thursday, November 11th, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kim Waite and Rev. Miles Vardy officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
