The death of Barbara Ann (Jones) Carpenter, age 64, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Thursday, November 11, 2010. She was the wife of Murray (Bud) Carpenter, of Kars, NB. Barbara was born on January 25, 1946, in Saint John, NB, the daughter of the late LeRoy and Jean (Willigar) Jones. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Murray; daughter Margie Carpenter; son James Carpenter both of Kars, NB; sister Gladys Earle of Kingston, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by daughter Shelia Carpenter; sisters Evelyn Blakley and Lucy Earle; brothers Arthur, George, Henry and Earl.
She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service, conducted by The Rev. Chris VanBuskirk, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2010. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Kars.
