(August 15, 1946 - November 19, 2010) - Dale Herman Saulis of Tobique First Nation, NB passed away peacefully on November 19, 2010 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville at the age of 64. Son of the late Herman and Christine Saulis. Dale is survived by his wife Donna Mayer of Regina, SK; sons Adrien Saulis of Kamloops, BC and Jared Saulis of Yellowknife, NT; grandchildren Brooke, Corey and William; siblings Victoria (Terry), Malcolm (Joyce), Conrad (Tammy), Kevin (Cheryl), Doreen (Peter), Lance (Mitz) and Patricia; several nieces and nephews. Throughout his life, Dale worked passionately in advancing Aboriginal issues at the national, regional, provincial and local levels. He was also a Knight of Columbus and a Legion member.
There will be a gathering at 133 Main St. starting on Wednesday, November 24th until time of Mass. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 26th at 11 am from St. Ann's Church with Father Curtis Sappier as Celebrant. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
