With great sorrow we mourn the passing of Matilda Jean McTaggart on November 25, 2010. Tillie was born April 22, 1921 to William and Rebecca Monteith in Newton Butler, Ireland. She was a long time employee at the Weyburn Mental Hospital and the Saskatchewan Training School now known as Valley View Centre. She was a long time member of Grandview United Church. Tillie was predeceased by her beloved husband Jim; brothers William (Flora), Ross, Bud (Myrna) and sister Gladys (Albert) Heier. She leaves to mourn her sister Charlotte (Ed) Kovalak of Kamloops, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Tillie was a quiet, loving person and so loyal to family and friends. She will surely be missed. A Funeral Service will be held at W. J. Jones and Son Chapel on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 1:30 pm. Pastor Lynne Clarke will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Extendicare for their compassionate and loving care in making Tillie's final years comfortable and peaceful.
