1938 - 2010 - John Warner Simmons passed away quietly at home on December 7, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 27 1938 in Belleville, Ontario, John is son of the late John and Mary (Donaldson) Simmons. John is survived by his long-time companion Barb Curtis, former wife Beverly (Clapp) Nelson, their son Rob, daughter-in-law Megan and their children Claire and Duncan, as well as his brother Steve, sister-in-law Trudy and their children Jennifer and Ann-Marie. John was predeceased by his parents John and Mary, his sister Ann and his daughter Kim.
At John's request, there will be no visitation or service. Interment will be in the Belleville, Ontario cemetery at a later date. Donations in John's memory may be made to the SPCA or local animal shelter or the Cancer Society. L.R.
