Terrance (Terry) Murphy of Riverview, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, December 17, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Halifax, NS, on September 21, 1956, he was the son of the late John and Helen (McKay) Murphy. Terry was the General Manager of Superior Propane for the Atlantic Region, prior to that he was sales manager for I.C.G., he was also a member of St. Paul's United Church. He was a avid car buff, appreciating the beauty and speed of classic and muscle cars and enjoyed "Hoofnit" around town in his 2005 Mustang GT. Terry was an enthusiastic hockey fan and enjoyed many memorable moments with his family and friends at the trailer in Grand Barachois. He is survived by his children; Derek Murphy and Elizabeth Murphy, both of Riverview, his sisters; Diane Snook (Henry) of Langley, BC, Carol Leverman (David) of Lake Echo, NS, Suzanne Breau, (Jean Marie) of Moncton, his brother; David (Dianne) of Vancouver, Donald (Pierrette) of Moncton. Besides his parents Terry was predeceased by his wife Linda in 2009.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, (869-2007), on Monday, December 20, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to be held at St. Paul's United Church, 404 Cleveland Ave., Riverview, on Tuesday, December 21 at 11:00 am, with the Reverend Steve Berube officiating.
