Rae Trites
1943 - 2010 - Moncton - Rae Trites, 67, passed away peacefully at the Monarch Hall Nursing Home in Riverview surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 20, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton on September 5, 1943, he was the son of the late George and Marie Trites. Rae was a retired taxi driver. He attended Parkside Baptist Church on Mountain Road. He will sadly be missed by his wife, Rosaline (Rose Hébert) Trites; his beloved three step-daughters, Alice Reader (Paul) of Meadow Brook; Gloria Cogswell (Peter) of Fredericton, Marise Caissie (Jean-Claude) of Moncton; his precious four step-grandchildren, Melissa, Danielle, Joshua, Kelvin; one step great granddaughter, Angelica; two brothers, David and Henry, both of Moncton; three sisters, Sandra Rivers, Jeannette Melanson and Evelyn Trites, all of Moncton; one brother-in-law, Jeffrey Wilson of Anagance; a special niece, Cathy Cormier; also many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his extended family at Monarch Hall whom he loved very much and we would like to thank them for all their help and support and the good care they provided in his time of need. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Susan, one brother, Edward and a brother-in-law, Ulysse.
Visitations will be held at Passage, 625 Mountain Rd, Moncton on Thursday, December 23rd from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, December 24th from 10 am until time of the Service at the Passage Chapel with Pastor Maurice LeBlanc officiating at 11am. Interment will be held at the Elmwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family or to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
