With heavy hearts the family of 'Jo' announce her passing on December 15, 2010 after an 18 year battle with cancer. She was a wonderful wife and mother to her husband, Jim, and daughter Gina.

She is survived by her parents, Lido and Goldy Doratti, and siblings Mark, Gaylene Woodland (Spencer), Dawna Hugget (John), Sherri, and Suzie. Also many nieces and nephews and the extended Fitger family.

Jo was born in Rossland, B.C., July 15, 1961, but spent most of her early life in Williams Lake. She worked in the Travel industry from an early age and most recently with BCAA in Kamloops where she made many good friends in her co-workers and customers alike. With family she made several trips, and although she didn't like to fly, she enjoyed each and every destination. She always had 'one liners' for everyone whose lives she touched and left them laughing. She was active in the Run for the Cure, with her 'Seeds of Hope' team winning the Top Fundraising Team for 5 years in a row, until she could no longer take part.

The family would like to thank Dr. Avanessian and the Staff of the Kamloops Cancer Clinic for the care and support given to Jo during her long struggle. A special thank you to the Staff at the Hospice for the kindness to us all on Jo's last journey.

Memorial Celebration to take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 635 Tranquille Road, Kamloops.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent S., Kamloops, B.C. V2E 2S9, in Jo's name, would be appreciated.
Interment service to follow in the spring.
