Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with his daughters and son at his side, on Monday, December 20, 2010, of George H. Wilkie, Sherwood, age 72 years. Predeceased by his wife, Alexis "Lexie" Wilkie (nee Guy).
A great dad to Paul, David, Judy and Kelly and father-in-law of Judi, Doug and David. Loving Poppy of Alexa, Kyle, Ryan, Tyler, Kayla, Dylan, Joshua, Brandon, Jessica and Nicole. Brother of Joyce, Freda, Albert (Phyllis), Edgar, Gordie (Muriel) and Brenda (Mel). Brother-in-law of Mary and Joanne.
Predeceased by his parents, William and Irene (Fougere) Wilkie and by his siblings Catherine, Art and Donnie and by brothers-in-law Buddy, Hughie and Bill.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Thursday at 9:45 a.m., then to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the P.E.I. Lung Association or to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Knights of Columbus Council #6917 will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
