Peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Sunday, June 28, 2009 with her family by her side, of Mary Helena Arsenault of the Tignish Seniors Co op Home age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Sylvester J. Arsenault. Born on December 23, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Helen (nee Fennessey) Richard. Cherished mother to Elmer and his wife Jackie of Tignish, Larry and his wife Jacinta of Elmsdale and Ivan of Tignish. Lovingly remembered by her 7 grandchildren, Nicole of Calgary; Michael (Katie) of Moncton; Jennifer of Fredericton; Mark of Tignish; Ronald of Ottawa; Joey of Toronto; and Anthony of Elmsdale. Dear sister to Louise (Alyre) LeClair of Tignish; Doris (Eddie) Cuffey of Montreal; Ida (Late James) Handrahan of Tignish and sister-in-law to Gerard Gaudet of Tignish. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Raymond (Late Rita), Everett (Late Sis, Catherine) Stella Gaudet, Irene (Late Hector) Gallant. She was also predeceased by brothers- and sisters-in-law, Fidel (Late Yvonne) Arsenault, John (Late Mary) Arsenault, Josephine (Late Aubin) Bernard, Henrietta (Late Alphy) Perry, Genevieve Arsenault and Lucy Arsenault. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Funeral on Wednesday morning July 1, 2009 from St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish for mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Western Hospital Equipment fund or to the Tignish Seniors Co op Home would be gratefully appreciated. The Tignish council of the C.W.L. will hold a prayer service for their departed sister on Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m.
