Passed away suddenly and peacefully at the GB Cross Hospital in Clarenville on 25 December, 2010, in his 67th year. Peter leaves his wife Yvonne with 44 years of happy and loving memories, and two loving daughters Robyn, and Cpt. Dianne Godfrey-White (Cpl. Dennis White), and his adored granddaughter, Grace Emma White. His sisters Jennifer and Brenda Lynn Godfrey (Don Stephenson) mourn his loss, as do his nephews Ken and Pat Franklin, and his sister-in-law Charlene Butt. A large number of other relatives across Canada, Europe and America will mourn Peter, as will the many, many friends he made through his work in Stephenville, and in recent years with the District N4 Lions Club, St. Mary's Anglican Church, and the Trinity Historical Society. Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Peter's friends and family will be at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville, on Tuesday, 28 December, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A service will follow on Wednesday, 29 December at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Clarenville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
