1923 - 2011 - Emerise Surette, 87 of Cocagne, wife of the late René Surette (2009), passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Saturday, January 1st, 2011. Born in Shediac River on April 23, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Willie and the late Elizabeth (Leger) Hébert. She will be sadly missed by her three children, Francine Surette (Ronald), Gerard (Jeanne), and Gilles all of Cocagne, her two grandchildren, Mathieu and Nathalie. She also leaves to mourn her brother Amédée (Ella) of Saint John, several nephews and nieces and her homemaker Bernadette Chenard. She was predeceased by one daughter, Elizabeth (1973), three sons, Louis Marcel (1993), Rhéal (1976), and Yvon (1976), her two sisters, Irène and Sara and one brother Edgar.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Tuesday, January 4th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cocagne Church on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring. In Emerise's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Foundation (Palliative Care).
