
Annie Sinclair
1914 - 2011 - Annie Louise Sinclair, 96, of Alma passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital. Annie was born on September 22, 1914 the daughter of John and Blanche (Wortman) McLaughlin. Annie was a member of the Alma Baptist Church. She worked at Fundy National Park and was known for her hospitality as she ran a tourist home where she invited people to stay in her home and rented out a cabin near her home for several years. She was also known for her cooking ability and enjoyed knitting and quilting. She was a sweet lady who always held herself with dignity and grace. She will be remembered for her great smile. She was very family oriented and loved her family very much, she was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Melda Garland of Moncton and Patricia Burns of Alma; one son, Gary Sinclair of Alma; six grandchildren, Kimberly, Pamela (Billy), Kent, Stacy, Steven (Laura) and Craig (Michelle); four great grandchildren, Brenan, Jennings, Keaton and Alexandria. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, John ; eldest son, Leonard; grandson, William Burns; sister Maisie Potter; brothers, James McLaughlin and Ken McLaughlin.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Alma Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 5th, 2011 at 2:00pm. Following the service the family will be meeting at the Alma Senior's Center for further fellowship and for refreshments. Interment will be in the Alma United Cemetery at a later date. In Annie's memory donations to the Alma Baptist Church, Forest Dale Home or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
