Lois Barron
Lois H. Barron, 85, of Riverview, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday January 4, 2011. Born in Woodstock, she was the daughter of the late Nash and Helen (Burden) Smith. Lois was a former employee of Red Cap Dry Cleaners, a long time member of Trinity United Church, Riverview, a member of the UCW and former choir member. She was a member of "The Incredibles" and the Ladies Auxiliary, Moncton Legion Branch #6. Lois enjoyed music, especially singing, reading, knitting, socializing with her friends and spending time with her family. Lois will be sadly missed by children, Joan Cameron (Blair), James "Jim" Barron, Maurice "Bud" Barron, David Ives (Judy), Elaine Steeves (Russell), John Ives, Fran Steeves (Roy); several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; special friend, Guy Power. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by her husbands, William A. Ives and Maurice "Mike" Barron; daughters, Marion, Louise, Betty and Marjorie (Mardi); brother, Graeme.
No visitation by personal request. Celebration of Life Service for Lois at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Saturday January 8, 2011, 11:00 am, Rev. Charlotte Youland officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
