We regret to announce the passing of Mary Madeline Cooke at King Gardens Senior Complex in Mississauga, Ont. on Dec. 17, 2010.
Madeline was the daughter of the late Margaret (Maggie MacNeil) and Angus B. MacDonald, formerly of 12 County Rd., New Waterford.
She left Cape Breton at a young age and spent most of her life in Cobden, Ont. and Ottawa; but returned to New Waterford every year for summer vacation. She spent many winters in Port Ritchie, Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lorne Cooke in 2001; by her brothers, Donald, John Michael, Joseph A. and Gussie of New Waterford; sisters, Margaret 'Dudi' Purcell, Sydney and Theresa Dwyer, Carver, Mass.
She is survived by brothers, Vindy, New Waterford and Roddie, Mississauga.
Burial took place in Ontario.
