Passed suddenly away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Sunday, January 2, 2011, Mrs. Ellen Mahoney, age 92 years of Harbour Breton. Leaving to mourn her loving family: sons: Daniel (Mildred) at Harbour Breton and Aiden (Ivy) at Stephenville; daughters: Rosalyn (Sam Barker) at Labrador City, Linda (John Moon) at Cookville, Tennessee, Helen (Elijah Skinner) at Isle Aux Morte and Paulette Stringer at Clarenville; adopted daughter, Salome (Jason Smith) at Harbour Breton; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Daniel, and son, Lawrence. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Harbour Breton with Father Tom Duffenais officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery at Harbour Breton. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Spencer's Funeral Home.
