Wilhelmina Edelenbos of Sydney, N.S., formerly of Elginwood LTC in Richmond Hill, Ont., died peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011. She was 92 years old.
Wilhelmina was born April 11, 1918, in Amersfoort, Netherlands, to Gerarda and Gijsbertus Brandsen, the eighth of 11 siblings.
On March 3, 1943, during the Second World War, she married Marinus (Martin) Edelenbos in Amersfoort and enjoyed a 43-year marriage with him until his passing in 1986.

Wilhelmina 'Mia' enjoyed sports including handball as a young girl, knitting and sewing, playing cards, travelling and the outdoors.
