Beatrice leaves to mourn her passing 3 sons Orval (Irene) of Ashcroft, Norman (Colleen) of Vanderhoof, and Glen (Gwen) of Enderby; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters Pearl Trombly of Penticton, and Jessie Fleming of Kamloops; sisters-in-law Grace Clapperton, Jean Clapperton, and Dode Clapperton; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great friends.

Beatrice was predeceased by her husband Lorne of 61 years in August 1997. Beatrice was born August 16, 1916 to John and Isabel Clapperton in Kamloops BC. She met the love of her life Lorne Trueman in Westwold where they were both working at Bulman's Ranch. They were married January 22, 1936 and eventually moved to Ashton Creek and opened the Ashton Creek General Store. After 23 years they sold the store and retired to Enderby in 1974. Beatrice was a member of the Olive Rebecca Lodge for 53 years, a member of the IODE and a life member of the Enderby Seniors. She was an avid curler and spent many hours at the curling rink. Beatrice loved to sing in the choir and to travel, enjoying many great trips with her husband. During the summers many enjoyable times with family and friends were spent at their cabin on Okanagan Lake, where just about every grandchild learned to swim and water ski. In 2007 Beatrice moved to Pioneer Square in Armstrong where she made many new friends and fully took part in all activities. She wasn't going to spend her time sitting around doing nothing!!! Beatrice will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Enderby Seniors Complex (1101 George Street, Enderby BC) on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via email: armstrong@myalternatives.ca
