Joanne Sonier, 61, of Riverview died peacefully at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Friday, January 14, 2011 after a long battle against cancer. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of Rita (LeBlanc) Sonier and the late Alderice Sonier. She is survived by her children, Mia and Richard Donovan, her mother Rita Sonier, and her brothers, David and Richard. Joanne will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, a woman of faith, her joy for life, and for all her good works, most recently, as the Regional Coordinator with the Alzheimer Society. The Society's motto is "Forget me not." Joanne will not be forgotten by all those who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis de France Roman Catholic Church, 5 Pleasant Street, (Lewisville). Cremation under the direction of Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 88 Church St., Moncton (858-1900).
