TINANT - Joseph (Joe) of Ponteix, SK passed away at the Foyer St. Joseph Nursing Home in Ponteix on January 6th, 2011 at the age of 86. He was born in Regina, SK on December 18th, 1924. A memorial
service was held on January 11th, 2011 from the Roman Catholic Church in Ponteix, SK with Father Raymond Carignan officiating. Organist was Marlene Jones with the Ponteix Church Choir, Romeo
Lacelle, Tony and Monique Lacelle singing the hymns. The eulogy was given by his daughter Rita Suchy and his grandson Michael Suchy. Interment was held at the Ponteix Catholic Cemetery. Joe was
predeceased by his parents Archille and Gertrude (Hoppenreys) Tinant, 1 brother and 1 sister in infancy, his brothers; Emile (wife Gertrude) and Leo, his sisters; Jeanne Gabriel (husband Clarence), Clara Lacelle (husband Ludovic), Maria Gabriel (husband Julien), his father and mother-in-law Jean Baptiste and Annie (Day) Dumonceaux, sister-in-laws Sylvia Lizee, Agnes Walters (husband Joe), Marie Cherpin, and brother-in-law, Albert Dumonceaux. He was also predeceased by one daughter, Adele, in infancy. Joe is survived by his wife of 55 years Helen (nee Dumonceaux), 6 children; Anne (Bill) Moat, Aneroid, SK, daughters, Michelle Moat, Marcy (Paul) Marshall, Miranda (Rob) Isaak; Rita (Otto) Suchy, Holden, AB, sons, Michael (Nicole) Suchy, Brent Suchy, Paul Suchy (special friend Victoria); Ida Tinant, Edmonton, AB; Archie Tinant, Ponteix, SK, son Matthew Tinant; John Tinant, Ponteix, SK; and Raymond Tinant, Ponteix SK; great-grandchildren: Tayden and Dyllin Marshall, Kyler Schafer and Ashtyn Isaak, Cheyenne and Reece Suchy and Ethan Suchy. He is also survived by numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces
and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family.
