ROWTER, Ralph "Clark" - 74, Melvern Square passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 20, 2011. Born in Maitland Bridge, Annapolis County, he was the oldest son of the late William and Freda (Lewis) Rowter. Clark enjoyed farming and the farming way of life. He particularly took great pleasure in visiting and participating in exhibitions and fairs, especially with the "Old Greys" at pulling and plowing competitions. Clark was well known, kind and generous and always had time to stop and talk to his many friends. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marlene (Mosher); daughters Vicki (Robbin) Rowter-MacLeod, Aylesford; Pam (Harry) Patterson, North Alton; Angela (Greg) Harrison, Melvern Square and son Bradley (Roslyn), Liverpool; Grandchildren Cody (Angie), Kelsey, Kailey, Kyle, Riley, Joel, Alexis and Parker; Great-Grandchildren Chloe and Cordelia; sisters Jeanette Rawding, Northfield and Claire (Harley) White, Kempt as well as mother in law Bessie Mosher, Nineveh. He was predeceased by brothers Bruce and Brian. Visitation was held Saturday, January 22nd in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, where a funeral service was held Sunday, January 23, Rev. Leon Langille officiated. A reception followed the service. A private family interment will take place in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square. By request, family flowers only.
