Cheryl Jenelle Dyck was born on December 26, 1985, at the Swift Current Regional Hospital. She was the second daughter born to Larry & Gwen Dyck. Cheryl received her education from Kindergarten to Grade 9 at the Wymark School. She graduated from Grade 12 at the Swift Current Comprehensive High School in 2004. Cheryl was baptized in the Wymark Emmaus Mennonite Church in the summer of 2001. Upon completion of her schooling, Cheryl worked at various jobs around Swift Current. She loved the interaction with people whether it was serving coffee at McDonald's, working in the booth at the Wymark Rink, or taking photos at the Wal-Mart Portrait Studio, her friendly smile and warm heart earned her many friends and return visits. One of Cheryl's loves was music. In High School, she was a member of the Meister Singers and one of her biggest highlights was traveling to Edmonton to perform at the Windspear Concert Hall. The only shopping Cheryl really enjoyed was when she could purchase another new release CD to add to her collection. She knew the words to most of the songs she owned and when Janelle Krahn came over for a visit, we could hear them singing on the karaoke machine. Another highlight for Cheryl was when she attended Shane Yellowbirds concert, in November 2010, with her Mom and Grandma Dyck. Spending time with family was the most important thing to Cheryl. She loved spending time with her Mom watching game shows, collecting coins with her Dad to add to his collection and watching her brother Tyson play every sport that he was involved in. Cheryl also enjoyed playing games and cards, and was usually the one keeping score. A special place she loved to travel to in Camrose, AB, was to her sister & brother-in-law, Alicia & Derek's and her precious nephew and niece, Treyton and Makayla. Cheryl had time to talk to anyone, from newborn to the elderly. Her gentle smile and embracing hug was something she would share with everyone. Cheryl passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011, and leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Larry & Gwen; her sister, Alicia & Derek, and their children, Treyton and Makayla; her brother, Tyson; Grandpa & Grandma Dyck; Grandpa & Grandma Paul; her fiancé, Scott; and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 2:00 pm from Zion Mennonite Church, Swift Current, SK, with Pastor Herman Wiebe officiating. The pianist for the service was Verna Dyck with Marvin & Talita singing, "Come to Jesus". Tributes were shared by PowerPoint, by Alicia Dewald & Tyson Dyck and by Sabrina & Jocelyn Seufert.
