Clifford Allan (Cliff) Marklund, a late resident of Cache Creek, passed away in the Ashcroft Hospital on January 26th, 2011 at the age of 73 years.

Cliff was born in Calgary, Alberta on October 17th, 1937 and moved to Kamloops in the 50's, then to Cache Creek in 1974.

Cliff is predeceased by his parents Gunnar and Bertha, son Andy and his wife Kathy.

He is survived by his family: his children Belinda Kandall, Cameron (Vivian) Marklund, Estelle Darough, Wyatt (Cindy) McMurray, Clayton (Darlene) McMurray, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, his brothers and sisters Viola (Allan) Brooks, Len (Donna) Marklund, Gladys (Don) Horutko, Dave (Sadie) Marklund, Don (Jean) Marklund, Paul (Bonnie) Marklund, his first wife Alice Scott and many nieces and nephews and friends.

Cliff loved his hunting and fishing and cutting wood and he was an active member of AA to which he helped many people. Cliff worked in the lumber industry and in last years at the Cache Creek Chevron where he was known as "Grandpa" to everyone. Cliff enjoyed playing bingo in the surrounding area and loved making crafts. He had a huge heart that touched many people, young and old. His door was always open to those that needed a place to stay and/or eat. Cliff was always up for trying new things and having new adventures.

A Celebration Of Life Service for Cliff will be held on Saturday February 5th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cache Creek Community Hall, Cache Creek, B.C.
