Passed peacefully away on July 7, 2009, at the age of 85. Predeceased by his parents Annie (Greene) and William Patterson. Mourning his loss, while celebrating his life is his wife and companion of over 60 years Ettie (Collins); his sister Barbara; his eleven children: Judy, Barbara (the late Ted French), Joan (Eugene Lye), Rita (Allan Macleod), Linda (Reg Ryan), Bill (Annie Dray), Ann Marie (Martin Cahill), David (Marion Hapgood), Sharon (Oliver Dickie), Liz (Phil Smith), Sandra. There are eighteen grandkids with many great memories of times with Nan and Pop in Gooseberry Cove and Pop’s memory will live on with his seven great-granchildren. Family and close friends helped so much during the last few years - a special thank you today to Dad’s private duty nurse (daughter-in-law Annie) who was with him during his last few moments. Dad lived a rich and happy life. We are blessed indeed. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia.
