Heidi Renner-Dembour

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, daughter and sister, Heidi Helene Renner-Dembour, 44, of Tidnish, NS, Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Roisdorf, Germany, she was a daughter of Guenter and Elfriede Welteroth of Germany.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and friend and always cared for others first.
Heidi and her husband, Holger, her daughters, Daniela and Angelina immigrated from Germany to Canada in 2003. Because of Heidi's love and respect of the outdoors and nature, they acquired a farm in Tidnish, known as Lupin Farms. Her great talents and abilities allowed her to take on many challenges on the farm and fulfill her great passion for all types of animals, which resulted in providing a home for many cats, dogs, horses, and chicken.
Her sense of adventure and hard work led them to become the proud owners of the Old Germany Restaurant in Amherst. Heidi's amazing personality, beautiful laugh and kind ways will be dearly missed and always cherished by her family, customers and many friends.
Besides her parents, Heidi leaves behind to mourn her loving husband, Holger; beloved daughters, Daniela (Adam) MacKay, and Angelina (Thomas Dickson) Dembour, both of Tidnish; cherished sister, Elisabeth (Manfred) Holthoff, Germany; special, godson, Guenter; special niece, Larissa; as well as her many friends and extended family back home in Germany.
Heidi was predeceased by her mother in law, Hildegard Renner.
As per Heidi's wishes, cremation has taken place.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Friday, February, 11, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am from Campbell's Chapel with Archdeacon Glenn Eason officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Riverside Cemetery, Tidnish.
Memorial donations to the Pink in the Rink Fundraiser for Breast Cancer awareness or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by her family.
