The death of John Paul Richard, husband of Eva (McGinn) Richard of Noonan, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Thursday, February 9th, 2011. Born in Allairdville, NB, son of the late Richard and Imelda (Russell) Richard. John is survived by his wife Eva, four sons, Roger of Lincoln, NB, Larry (Bonnie) of Fredericton, NB, Michael (Darlene) of Alberta. Tony Richard of Lincoln, NB; one daughter Liesette Donovan (Carman) of Lincoln, NB; their mother, Lorna Richard, five grandchildren Michelle Morehouse, Rhonda Richard, Samantha Richard, Richard Richard and Jared Richard; five great-grandchildren Ryan, Emma and Megan Morehouse and Adian and Caleb Hicks; two step-sons, Terry Fullarton (Lynn) of Fredericton, NB and Brian Fullarton of Lower Sackville, NS; two step-daughters, Christine Walsh of Fredericton, NB and Pamela MacDonald (Ken Harris) of Lincoln, NB; four step-grandchildren, Jodi Murdock (Marcus), Shyanna Smith, Justin Fullarton and Stephen MacDonald; and two step-great-grandchildren, Emma Murdock and Alex Murdock; three sisters, Winnie Gill of Fredericton, NB, Anne Marie Hovey (Clive) of Fredericton, NB, and Patricia McSorley (John) of Kingsley, NB. John was predeceased by his parents, four sisters, Mary DeGrasse, Gertrude Hickey, Edna Perrault and Odette Richard; one brother, Eugene Richard and one daughter, Mary Lynn Richard.
The family will receive visitors at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton with visitation on Friday, February 11th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 12th, 2011 at 11 AM with Fr. Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date in the Hermitage Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family. www.mcadamsfh.com
