Helena Mary (Davis) Landrum, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, surrounded by her family.
Born in Port-aux-Basques, NL, in 1931, over the years Helena lived in Sydney, NS; Toronto, Ont; Westfield, NJ and most recently Wyomissing, Pa.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Landrum, Jr. (Wyomissing, Pa); her daughters, Moire (Ron Stiskin) of Airmont, NY; Ellen MacLeod of Toronto, Ont; Flora (Stephen Dickson) of Halifax, NS; stepdaughter, Alexandra Landrum of Berwick, Maine; grandchildren, Ian, Rose and Neil Stiskin; brothers, Irwin Davis, Clarenville, NL and David Davis, Port-aux-Basques, NL.; sisters, Joan House, Deer Lake, NL and Barbara Davis, Fredericton, NB; former husband, Gordon MacLeod, Sydney, NS and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Helena was predeceased by her brothers, Aubrey, Joe and Harold Davis and her sister, Elizabeth Bennett.
The funeral was held Monday, July 6, 2009, at St. Paul’s Episcopal church in Westfield, NJ. A celebration of her life will be held August 22, 2009 at the Gowrie House in Sydney Mines, N.S. at 2 p.m.
