David Hannington

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of David on February 12, 2011. Born in Moncton, he was the youngest son of Mayme (Mullins) and the late Ernest Hannington. He leaves behind his beloved mother and his precious daughter April Blakney, whom he was extremely proud of. He also leaves behind brothers, John (Claudette), Robert (Rose); sister, Tracey Theriault (J.P.) and his oldest sister Sharon, whom he shared a special bond with; as well as several nieces and a nephew; and his friends from coast to coast. David often referred to his two special nieces, Vanessa and Carla, as “his girls”. David was living in Victoria, British Columbia, but was a true Maritimer. He was a history buff and was passionate about pirates and their treasure hidden around the Atlantic Coast. Growing up, David loved spending his time at the family cottage in Caissie Cape where he enjoyed the water and building the best sand castles the Cape ever saw.
