With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Katherine on Saturday, February 19th at her home, at the age of 78. Loving wife of Donald James Lockwood. Caring step-mother to Chiyo (Bill) Biggley, Julie (Brian) Nutley and Jay (Leigh-Anne) Lockwood. Grandmother Kathy to 11 grandchildren and great-grandmother Kathy to eight great-grandchildren. She will be missed by cousins in New Brunswick and Ontario as well as many close friends and inherited nieces and nephews. Kathy was a nurturing and giving person and spent her life caring for others in her lifelong profession as a nurse. She was also a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in the Toronto temple.
Kathy’s family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St. St. Catharines, Ontario (905-684-6346) on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 351 Glenridge Ave. St. Catharines, on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. with interment following at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
