FUNERAL
“Thomas A. MacPherson”
The funeral of the late Thomas A. MacPherson under the direction of Curry Funeral Home, took place on January 24, 2011. The celebration of Life was held at St. Anthony’s Parish in Glace Bay with Father Norman MacPhee officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons, Mark and Mitchell, son-in-law Guy Henderson, nephew Kelly Yates and close friends, John Matheson and Wayne Scheller. Tom’s favorite hymns were sung by St. Anthony’s Choir under the direction of Eileen Morrison and organist, Bobby O’Handley. Readings were done by granddaughters, Andree and Amanda. Intentions offered by Karen Brann. Offertory Gifts were presented by granddaughter, Ashley and nephew, Mark Bettens. Members of Branch 12 Royal Canadian Legion Color Guard conducted the tribute service.

CARD OF THANKS
We, the family of the late Thomas A. MacPherson, wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to family, friends and neighbors for all the love and support shown to us during this difficult time. To all those who sent flowers, Mass and sympathy cards, memorial donations, gifts of food and those who attended the visitation and funeral service, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. To Father Norman MacPhee, altar servers, choir and organist, a sincere thanks for the beautiful service. To the ladies of St. Anne’s Sodality many thanks for the luncheon following the service. We would also like to express appreciation to all those who took part in the funeral Mass, in particular Members of the Branch 12 Royal Canadian Legion and the Cape Breton Regional Police for the wonderful tribute. In addition, we would like to thank Curry Funeral Home for their professionalism and courtesy. For the wonderful care given to Tom from the staff of the Glace Bay General Hospital ICU AND EHS, we are forever grateful. A heartfelt thank you is reserved for Dr. Hirsch and staff of the Maritime Heart Centre in Halifax for their exceptional care and support. Words are not enough to express our gratitude. To UA Local 682, especially Cliff Murphy, our family has been touched by your kindness. Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to John Matheson and Harvey Ellsworth for their continued help and support. May God Bless You All.
