PETRIE, Viola Elsie
1920-2011
Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2011. Viola was born in Herbert, SK on November 12, 1920. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed family gatherings immensely. She loved poetry and reading. Viola also enjoyed travelling, camping, bowling, picnics and was involved with bible study throughout her whole life. She will be sadly missed by her children: Terry (JoAnn) Petrie and family; Patricia Petrie and family; Rodney Petrie; Vivian (Doug) Tobler and family; sister, Margaret McGill of Regina, SK; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends. Viola was predeceased by her husband David, and her grandson Jordan. A Celebration of Viola’s life was held at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer, AB on Friday, February 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a helping charity of the donor’s choice may be made in Viola’s name, would be appreciated.
