WOITAS, Walter "Wally"
On Wednesday, February 23, 2011, Wally Woitas of Edmonton and formerly of Prince Albert, passed away at the age of 73, following a brief illness.Wally is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Margie; his daughter Cheryl (Rick) Shinkaruk; his son, Greg (Maurae) Woitas; 4 grandchildren, Karissa and Kaelynn Shinkaruk, Jesslyn and Makenna Woitas; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Andy, Peter (Diane), and Ann Wiwchar; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Wasyl and Catherine Woitas; 1 brother, John; and 1 brother-in-law, Wally Wiwchar. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, February 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Dormition of the Mother of God Ukrainian Catholic Church, 15608 - 104 Avenue, Edmonton, by Reverend Bill Hupalo. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Edmonton. If desired, donations in memory of Wally may be made to the Dormition Parish.
