Oscar was born in Trochu, Alberta on August 28, 1929. Oscar was a kind and generous man. He worked hard all his life for his family. In his early years Oscar was a logger on the coast. Then Dad went on to construction. Dad built many of the older Sandman Hotels (Blue River, Kamloops), along with New Kam Development Buildings on 12th Street in Kamloops. The one thing that he was really proud of himself for was helping his parents rebuild their home in Armstrong when it burned down. Oscar and his wife Hedy enjoyed many of dad's hobbies together. Oscar had many hobbies, he enjoyed his fishing, square dancing, camping, traveling. Every year he went on an annual hunting trip with his son Barry. They almost always brought back something. In his early retirement he would meet his friends at Tim Horton's everyday, sometimes even twice a day. He will be especially missed by his great grandchildren who visited him weekly, and helped make his lunch.

The family would like to thank all the care staff of The Hamlets at Westsyde especially those on C2.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Oscar's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at St. George's Anglican Church at 308 Royal Ave, Kamloops. Reverend Isabel Healy-Morrow will be officiating.
