Marie Francis Watts, formerly of North Sydney, died on Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at West Toronto Urgent Center.
Marie was the daughter of the late Lillian (Stagg) and Jack Strickland.
She is survived by daughter, Sandra; grandchildren, Brock and Sarah Watts of Mississauga. Also surviving are stepdaughters, Mary Ann and Della Watts of Wassauga Beach; loving sister, Pauline (George) Dicks, North Sydney and stepsister, Bess Atkinson of Midland, Ont. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marie was a ballroom and line dance instructor in Mississauga. She was greatly admired by her students and will be sadly missed.
Marie was predeceased by husband, Colin Watts and a brother, Brent Strickland.
Funeral services were held on March 5, 2011 in Mississauga.
A special thanks to Pearl MacLean of Markham, Ont. who extended her hospitality and provided much needed support in such a trying time. We will be forever grateful.
