Paul passed away peacefully at the Cove Guest Home on Wednesday March 9, 2011.
Paul was born in Yarmouth to the late Bud and Adelaide Rogers.
He left Yarmouth to serve in the Second World War and was posted to Westmount where he met his future bride, Babs MacPherson. He was employed at Sydney Steel Corp., as a carpenter. He was active in golf, badminton, and skating throughout his lifetime. His main love was badminton that he shared with his family and friends until he was well into his seventies. He enjoyed many fishing and camping trips with his family and friends.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Lynne, Saint John; son, John (Janice), Lunenburg; daughter-in-law, Claire, Blackett’s Lake; grandchildren, Natalie and Craig, Stephanie and Adrian, Jill, Paul and Deanna and five great-grandchildren, Addison, Kyle, Nalin, Rowan and Iris.
Paul was predeceased by his wife, Babs; brothers, Carl and Chester; a sister, Iris and a son, Dell.
Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel, Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Whent officiating.
