Lorraine LeBlanc, 90, of Residence O’ Bons Soins, Shediac, formerly of Moncton, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre.
Born on August 5, 1920 in Saint-Norbert, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mélas and Émilienne (Gallant) Richard. She is survived by Antoine (Tony)LeBlanc, her beloved husband of 67 years, a daughter, Pauline LaCroix (Michel) of Grande-Digue, two sons: Paul (Gaëtane) of Dieppe and André (Louise) of Riverview, a sister, Sr. Hélèna Richard, s.p., of Montréal, QC; a sister in-law, Marguerite (late Eugène) Richard of Moncton, five grandchildren: Marc-André, Isabelle, Mélanie, Karine and Aimee; five great-grandchildren: Logan, Kaleb, Matthias, Noah and Olivier. She is predeceased by her brothers: Prémilite, Hypolite, Régis, Alyre, Éloi, Eugène, and André.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Moncton, on Monday March 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Lorraine, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation (Tree of Hope) would be appreciated.
The family wishes to express their gratitude towards the personnel of O’ Bons Soins Residence and the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital for the wonderful care provided to Lorraine.
