The family of Patricia Maude Lewis (nee Price) will be forever grateful for the gift of her life. Peggy passed over peacefully in her 87th year at the VCMH in Baddeck, on March 18th, 2011. She was welcomed into heaven by her husband Aubrey, her Mother Sara Jane (Leaman), her father Mariner Joseph Price, her brothers George and Lloyal and her sister Irene. She is survived by her brother Ephraim Price of Moncton. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her family: Pamela, her sons; Ira, Jacob, Zachary and Joshua; Ira, his wife Brenda and their children Jason and Sarah; Heather, her husband John, and her children Shelby and Jared; Trish, her husband Gary, their sons Kyle, Matthew and Jordan. Her Grandchildren have greatly appreciated the presence of a grandmother who always saw the good in them... It was Grandma’s gift. She felt truly blessed by her sweet great-grandchildren: Cohen, Khloe, Avery and Carter. Mom so enjoyed all her visits, phone calls and cards that she received from her many caring nieces and nephews. Thank you from all of us. Peggy dedicated her life to family in Moncton, and later in Montreal, Winnipeg, and Peterborough. As the wife of the Project Engineer on power installations, she created a warm home and a close-knit community around her and her family in Trinidad, Nigeria, India, Saudi Arabia, Alberta, and Nova Scotia. Peggy and Aubrey were comfortable living and traveling all over the world and developed many long-lasting friendships.
A family service to celebrate her life will be held later at the cottage in Wreck Cove, a place given to us by Mom and Dad and long held dear by the family. Arrangements are under the direction of MacAskill Funeral Home, Baddeck.
