Della Williamson
The family of Della M. Williamson, formerly of Fredericton, NB announce her passing on March 21, 2011 at Orchard View Long Term Care, Gagetown, NB. Born May 30, 1929 in Stellarton NS, she was the daughter of the late William and Nellie (Fenton) MacFarlane and the beloved wife of the late Charles F. Williamson. Della was a very active member of Christ Church (Parish) Church, the Order of St. Luke, as well as other women’s groups. She was a retired Registered Nurse having worked at the Victoria Public Hospital, the Infirmary at UNB and the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Survived by her seven children Debra Ringuette (Maurice) of Pickering, ON, Dene Williamson (Carol) of Stratford, PE, Heather Williamson (Robert) of Halifax, NS, Holly Currie (Andrew) of Douglas NB, Lynn Williamson of Fredericton, Scott Williamson of Baddeck, NS, and Janice Williamson (Jack) of Toronto, ON; a sister Brenda (Don) Deagle of Stellarton, NS; seven grandchildren Scott Williamson, Dene and Lindsay Ringuette, Heath (Olga), Jarrod and Wesley Currie, and Cecilia Williamson, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a granddaughter Emily Christine Currie, sisters Tina Richard (Len), Lina Henderson (Stan), brothers Bill and John MacFarlane.
Although there will be no visitation, a celebration of her life will be held at Christ Church (Parish) Church, Westmorland Street on Friday March 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Anthony Kwaw will officiate assisted by Rev. Joyce Perry and the Venerable John Sharpe. Interment in the Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Orchard View Long Term Care or Christ Church (Parish) Church Restoration Fund. Bishop’s Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
